The Gold Standard Among SPICE Standards
Automotive SPICE® is the gold standard among SPICE standards. Over 99 % of all assessors are trained in it, and more than 90 % of all assessments are conducted according to this standard.
The standard is issued by the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry e.V.), Working Group AK 13, and is suitable for the development of complex software-defined systems of any type and industry.
The latest version, 4.1, is a linguistic revision of version 4.0 — ratings are 100 % comparable. The biggest difference from version 3.1 is the more consistent distinction between CL1 and CL2 in strategy.
